Humphrey Kayange has received another prestige milestone of becoming the first kenyan to be inducted into the world Rugby Hall of fame.
Hall of Fame is a yearly celebration of individual who have inspired and developed the game of rugby from humble origin to the character building sports rugby is in the world today.
The former kenya sevens captain and Bsc. In Biochemistry graduate from Jomo Kenyatta university of agriculture and Technology (2016) was born on 20th July 1982.
The former Mwamba RFC player has previously played for Samurai International, Ulinzi RFC and Bristol University were he studied. Kanyage who enjoys 12 years play time made his debit at the age of 23 is considered as one the most successful rugby player in kenya.
He who was aware the very prestigious Order of Golden Warriors (OGW) helped Shujaa clinch their first title in the World Rugby Seven in Singapore in munumental moment for Kenya. He was also appointed to be International Olympic Committee (IOC)
President Uhuru Kenyatta also joined in congratulating the Kenyan rugby legend and former Kenya Sevens captain Humphrey Kayange for being inducted into the World Rugy Hall of Fame, Class of 2021.
The Head of State saluted Kayange, the first East African to enter the 164-person list of world rugby luminaries, saying the feat was a global honour of the star’s contribution to the rise of rugby in Kenya🇰🇪 and challenged upcoming players to emulate the 39-year old’s exploits.
