The Inspector General-National Police Service Mr. Hilary Mutyambai joins family and friends in mourning the demise of Everlyn Mandila, a police constable attached to Bungoma Police Station, after a long illness bravely borne.
Evelyn joined the National Police Service in the year 2001 and upon her graduation, she was posted to Kapsowar Police Station where she served until she was taken ill in November 2009.
Her condition deteriorated when she was diagnosed with a spinal code condition that left her paralyzed and confined in a wheelchair. This prompted her redeployment to her home station in Bungoma where she served until her demise.
In a heartwarming event that was shared on our platforms in the recent past, Evelyn’s colleagues under the banner of detail 79 gifted her a three-bedroom house and household items in an event presided over by senior police commanders.
She was today laid to rest at her family home in Ingolomosio village, Shinyalu in Kakamega County. she is survived by her three children.
