As Patrick Foley said, “retirement is an opportunity to redesign your life into something new and different.”

To mark this transition, the Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service Mr. Eliud Lagat last evening hosted a retirement party in honour of Ms. Mirriam Muli, SAIG, who retires after 38 years of service.

Her time in service has earned her numerous accolades and decorations, including the coveted Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS), awarded for distinguished service to exemplary members of the public service and other professionals.

She has served in various positions within the National Police Service, concluding her career as the Principal Deputy to the DIG – Kenya Police Service and being the first Principal Deputy to have served under four different DIGs, a testament to the deep trust that the leadership had in her.

Her dedication to service leaves an indelible mark in those she mentored and empowered with knowledge and values, setting them on the path to success.

In his words of farewell, DIG-Lagat spoke not only of a colleague, but also a friend and a guiding light towards success, who leaves behind not just a legacy of leadership, but a lasting impact on those who she worked with.

He paid tribute to a dedicated leader who led with humility and integrity, a voice of reason and courage, who spoke with conviction when others hesitated.

As Madam Mirriam Muli starts the next phase of her life, the National Police Service congratulates her for the exemplary performance of duty and wishes her all the best in her future endeavours.
