Yesterday 28th of February 2025 the DIG -APS, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, CBS, OGW,SS, and the Director DCI, Mr. Mohamed I. Amin, CBS, OGW, ndc(K), took the lead in Commissioning of the APS CHAPEL and the APS line mosque and assessment of the health care facility offered by the APS dispensary in Kakamega county.

This initiative aimed to strengthen the collaboration between the police and the local community to enhance security and safety measures. Accompanied by the senator for Garissa county Sen.Haji Abdul Mohammed as well as the MP for Balambala Hon. Shurie Abdi Omar in the opening of the mosque and the MP for Lurambi Hon. Mukhwana Titus Khamala the visit highlighted the importance of unity in maintaining peace in the Western region known for its harmonious coexistence.

During his address, Mr. Masengeli emphasized the significance of professionalism among police officers in combating crime effectively. He stressed the need for seamless cooperation among security agencies to bolster security measures for the public. Mr. Amin echoed these sentiments, acknowledging the recent surge in criminal activities within the region.

This prompted a thorough investigation by police leadership to preserve the prevailing peace and security.

Moreover, the officials visited the APS Kakamega dispensary, which provides medical services to both police personnel and the general public in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the county government.

They pledged continued support to ensure the facility adequately serves the community’s healthcare needs. This collaborative effort reflects a proactive approach towards fostering a safer and healthier environment for all residents in Kakamega county.
